Humboldt Forum Foundation

Berlin, Germany
It was very important for the Humboldt Forum to find a showcase system, which was able to be reused and have a highly aesthetical value.

From 2012 till 2020 the Berlin Palace had been reconstructed. It houses today the Humboldt Forum which is a universal museum in Berlin, which includes the Ethnological Museum, the Museum of Asian Art of the Berlin State Museums and the Berlin City Museum. In addition, accompanying events, exhibitions and guided tours take place in the facility, which is supported by the Humboldt Forum Foundation in the Berlin Palace. It was generally opened on July 20, 2021. In 2023, the Humboldt Forum recorded 1.7 million visitors. The exhibition design of the galleries was done by Ralh Appelbaum Associates (RAA). In addition to the permanent galleries, the Humboldt Forum shows temporary exhibitions which last generally between 6-9 months. It was very important for the Humboldt Forum to find a showcase system, which was able to be reused and have a highly aesthetical value. The sustainability report reflects the criteria for the selection of the best modular showcase system. After the client has tested many systems, they decided for the Glasbau Hahn HLS system, because of its extremely high flexibility, their ease of use, their aesthetic design and conservational features.
