The Museum was founded in 1978 by the Vehbi Koç Foundation in the former Koç familiy summer retreat, Azaryan Mansion. Today, the Sadberk Hanim Museum is located in two historical and restored Mansions in Sariyer / Istanbul. The private museum is home to two collections with over 18.000 artefacts including archaeological relics from early Anatolian civilization presented in the Sevgi Gönül Building, as well as Turkish Islamic artefacts and rare textiles of the Ottoman era presented in the Azaryan Mansion.

The Old Library at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris (The Irish College built 1772 -1775) holds a collection of historical manuscripts with 3 illuminated manuscripts presented inside a site-specific HAHN table case ensemble. The case design includes timber bases and lids, equipped with HAHN RK-2 active climate control system and LED illumination to safeguard the delicate books dating back to 1470 - 1500. Two were created in Bruges: The Book of Hours of Notre-Dame and The Flemish Psalter. The third manuscript was produced in London, tracing the genealogy of the kings of England, from Adam and Eve to Richard III. The estate is a National Historic Landmark owned and operated by The National Trust for Historic Preservation since 1984.
