The museum was built as the result of a collaborative effort among three of the world’s leading architects: Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel and Rem Koolhaus. GLASBAU HAHN was contracted to build the display cases for the gallery of Korean traditional art, museum 1, designed by Mario Botta.
Complete installation of approx. 100 museum display cases, free-standing, table and wall display cases with special design and construction, some cases are suspended from the ceiling. These customised display cases were visualised in 3-D drawings, prototyped and manufactured in Frankfurt, shipped to Korea and installed on site by an installation team of GLASBAU HAHN.

Das Museo Vincenzo Vela wurde von dem bedeutenden Tessiner Bildhauer Vincenzo Vela (1820-91) entworfen. Heute im Besitz der Schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft, ist die ehemalige Privat-Residenz ein Wohnhaus-Museum, in dem italienische und Schweizerische Kunst und Geschichte des 19. Jahrhunderts zu einer Einheit verschmelzen. Unter der Leitung des Architekten Mario Botta wurde das am Fuße des Monte San Giorgio (UNESCO Weltnaturerbe) gelegene Museum vollständig renoviert. Teile der vielfältigen Sammlung aus dem Nachlass des Bildhauers Lorenzo Vela (1812-97) werden seither in HLS Systemvitrinen von GLASBAU HAHN präsentiert.
