A precious painting of the Collection of Kulturstiftung Dessau Wörlitz is presented perfectly safe within a HAHN PROTECTOR case for paintings.
The exhibition -A Working Friendship- at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles will present the collaborative works of the famous masters P. Paul Rubens und Jan Breughel d. Ä. next to paintings of other Flemish masters from the late 16th century.
A highlight from the treasures of Oranie and Nassau, the painting „Flora und Zephirus“, had to be presented with maximum protection in terms of climate control and safety. To ensure this, a HAHN PROTECTOR display case was built for the painting, maintaining a steady relative humidity and highest level protection against vandalism. The company F. G. Conzen has created a customized frame for the HAHN PROTECTOR display case based on the original model of a Mosigkauer frame.

Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Breughel the older are among the most acclaimed painters of Antwerp. Their extraordinary oeuvre created between 1598 –1625 in Belgium is reflecting the Flemish tradition of this period.
Rubens and Breughel were not only connected as friends, but also professionally as collaborating painters, giving both a platform to show their individual artistic mastery. Breughel’s unique skills in plant painting contributed to his being known as „Flower- Breughel“.
The painting „Flora und Zephirus“ will for the first time be shown together with over a dozen collaborative paintings of both artists. The exhibition will travel to the Royal Gallery of Painting, the Mauritshuis the Hague.
The encasing of the painting was done by the highly skilled staff of Glasbau Hahn at the restoration studio of the Cultural Foundation of Dessau Wörlitz. First results of climate monitoring have confirmed a steady relative humidity within the HAHN PROTECTOR case. Monitoring will be continued throughout the duration of the exhibition.
