Care.

We protect the most important thing we have as a company: Our employees.

Health and safety policy.

Policy statement

  • Health
  • Safety

Part of Glasbau Hahn's mission statement and sustainability goals is to manage the company in such a way that the health, safety and well-being of employees, customers, contractors and other persons who may be affected by the company's activities (affected group) are prioritised and fully integrated into our operational processes.

Health is a person's greatest asset. For this reason, safety in the workplace always takes precedence over other aspects in the performance of work tasks. This is part of our corporate culture and contributes to the success of our company, because healthy and motivated employees are a basic prerequisite for the performance and economic success of our company. For this reason, occupational health and safety - in particular the prevention of risks to our employees - is a business objective of equal importance to other economic aspects and essential corporate objectives (such as quality, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction). This includes the selection of safe and tested work equipment and its timely inspection by testing companies (e.g. TÜV), as well as the continuous assessment of all risks, from which appropriate technical and organisational measures are derived to optimise the working environment.

In the development and manufacture of our display cases and in the use of work equipment, vehicles, devices, hazardous substances, facilities or other objects, we take into account all safety-related aspects as well as existing regulations and manufacturers' instructions. This applies to all activities at Glasbau Hahn as well as on site at our customers' international locations. If certificates are required by the client in this connection, these will be provided and the necessary measures will be taken.

Glasbau Hahn undertakes to comply with the requirements of all relevant national and international regulations, laws and directives in order to fulfil these obligations.

The management and its executives - who set an example by their actions - as well as the entire company and all employees, who together contribute to continuous improvement, are responsible for the health and safety of the group. Together, we continually identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate measures. We do this by reviewing the past and being open to new ideas.

Purpose

We at Glasbau Hahn want to continuously improve the health, safety and welfare of our employees, customers, contractors and other persons who may be affected by the activities of our company (affected group). Our stated aim is to ensure, as far as possible, that the affected group is not exposed to any risks or hazards from our activities and that they do not suffer any accidents, injuries or illnesses while on our premises and wherever Glasbau Hahn employees are working.

Practice

This means that:
  • Glasbau Hahn is committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses and consistently complies with applicable health and safety laws and requirements.

  • The management is responsible for health and safety in the workplace and takes appropriate measures to ensure this.

  • They are supported by managers who are responsible for their own department and have the authority to issue instructions. Each manager is required to regularly instruct and support his or her employees in fulfilling this responsibility.

  • Managers are supported in this by our occupational safety specialists and our safety officers.
  • In addition, every employee promotes health and safety in his or her work environment and complies with health and safety regulations to minimise the risk of accidents.

  • We motivate our employees to contribute ideas, suggestions or observations to improve occupational health and safety conditions.

  • All hazards are regularly analysed and assessed and appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to contain and minimise them, and the findings are incorporated into regular instruction and training and into the optimisation of personal protective equipment.

  • All employees are given the opportunity to receive occupational health care and examinations are offered by the company doctor depending on the type and extent of the hazards in the workplace and emergency prevention and care is ensured.
  • A system for continuous monitoring, compliance and continuous improvement is established.
